Here’s a good site helping the folks of Bolivar Peninsula. There are several ways to help list on the site, including some “Beach Out and Help Someone” events they are sponsoring. The photo galleries from the first event are very illustrative of the damage, and can be found here and here.

These are truly amazing images. It’s a shame it took such devastation to bring this tool to attention, but it’s certainly appreciated nonetheless. The Bolivar story is one that can not get enough attention. Thanks to MadNonnie for the info.
