Dropping a Catalina 25 Off at the Dump

As a fellow sailboat owner, this is hard to watch. The video description reads:

This is me dropping my Catalina 25 off at the dump after she was wrecked in Hurricane Ike. Actually the boat was drug after the storm by residents of the condos that she came to rest in. I had to cut the front 5 feet off to fit it on the wrecker… heat breaking for me. … this was my first sailboat

Putting Kittiwake Back in the Water.

This is a fascinating video. I’ve seen all the pictures of boats strewn across roads and yards –
and I kept wondering, “how will they clean all those up?”

I guess the answer is — “one at a time.”
